Lefkada is easily accessible via drawbridge and dam. During most time of the year, it is easiest to travel to the nearby airport of Preveza. At other times, we recommend you take the ferry from Corfu to Igoumenitsa, then continue by bus or car.

If you prefer to take the scenic route, there is the option of going to Igoumenitsa by ferry - from Venice, Ancona, or another Italian port.

There are regular buses going to Lefkada from Athens and Preveza Airport, and (much less frequently) from Thessaloniki, Igoumenitsa and Patras.

 

To reach Katouna and travel independently throughout the island, we recommend renting a car. But please consider: Katouna is a typical mountain village, thus our house is only partially accessible by car, and you cannot leave cars next to the house. Parking is possible in the village, somewhat near to the village square and less than 3 min by foot to our house. We assure you it's worth the walk.
